G. F. Joey Musmar, CPA, CVA, PFS, ABV
G. F. Joey Musmar leads a team of experts that provide top-of-the-line tax, accounting and advisory services ranging from complex tax planning for mergers & acquisitions to financial and benefits planning for corporate executives and entrepreneurs. His clientele is multinational with niche businesses including restaurants, medical practices, government contractors, construction, non-profits, high tech, and diversified real estate agencies.
Joey has over 17 years experience in mergers and acquisitions. He has performed due diligence and consulted with client's attorneys to assist with structuring deals in the most efficient manner. He joined MillerMusmar as a Partner in 1999 and became the Managing Partner in 2004, with more than a decade of experience in public accounting.
He worked for two of the "big-five" accounting firms, Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen. As a member of Deloitte & Touche, he established and headed their Compliance and Tax Technology Group, significantly contributed to the development and testing of their software packages, and worked on data integration projections to ensure timely and accurate tax returns. While at Arthur Andersen, he worked in both the Real Estate and Enterprise and Compliance Services Groups where he was responsible for not only corporate but also partnership and individual tax compliance and planning. He was a significant contributor to the corporate tax compliance divisions for both firms and eventually formed his own full service public accounting firm, Musmar & Company. In addition to his strengths in tax compliance and planning, Joey is well versed in accounting software management and installation and has also overseen A-122 and A-133 audit engagements for non profits.
Joey received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and an Accredited Business Valuator (ABV). He has testified and conducted valuations for divorce, estate, gift, and M & A purposes. He also holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation and is Series 7 securities licensed.
Joey has appeared on News Channel 8 for the last 5 years. For two years, Joey has volunteered at George Mason University's School of Management critiquing business plans for students. He is also a Reston Incubator Advisory Board (IAB) member and has, in the past, been an annual speaker to the Virginia Society of CPAs.

Donna Miller, CPA, CVA, CFP, CPMA
Donna Miller, CPA, CVA, CFP, CPMA is the Chairwoman of MillerMusmar. She has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance and an undergraduate degree in Accounting.
Prior to founding Donna Miller & Associates in 1989, Ms. Miller was a field agent with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and a Senior Tax Instructor. For more than five years, she was an Audit Director, providing litigation support to the Department of Justice. She managed an 18-member audit department specializing in audits of Native American trust funds.
She has been qualified as an expert audit witness before the U.S. Court of Claims and has testified in federal and local courts numerous times.
Her responsibilities at DMA include corporate and individual tax planning and preparation, consulting, business valuations and litigation support.
Ms. Miller has extensive experience in taxation of business entities, not-for-profit organizations and government contractors. She believes in reducing complex tax and accounting issues to a level of understanding through which a client can make educated decisions relevant to their own financial and tax circumstances.
She has been an adjunct tax and accounting instructor for a local college. She also regularly conducts tax seminars for members of the National Institute of Real Estate, the Northern Virginia Institute of Certified Financial Planners, and local medical and dental groups. Ms. Miller has had articles and interview material published in a variety of local newspapers and private publications.
Her community involvement includes serving as member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and the Treasurer of the Reston Association.
