January 2010— MillerMusmar CPAs, has joined the Department of Minority Business Enterprise!

The SWaM certification program is administered by the Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise (“DMBE”) and is the Commonwealth of Virginia’s effort to help small, women- and minority-owned businesses with doing business with state government entities.

MillerMusmar recently took part in the Breathe DC Metro Walk 2009 to help raise donations for the American Lung Association of DC which was held on June 27, 2009. Total Donations raised was $63,159!

MillerMusmar, a Reston-based firm offering accounting, tax and business valuation services, was the 999th company to join the chamber. Joey Musmar, managing partner at MillerMusmar, said in an e-mail that his company joined the chamber in order to "better relate to business owners and non-profit members." He said, "we would like to be an active participant in-chamber activities in a manner that would serve the business community and assist us in growing our business."

MillerMusmar is also Elected as a Premier Chamber Business!  On June 30, 2009, the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce presented MillerMusmar with the Mid-Sized Business Award electing MillerMusmar CPAs as a Premier Chamber Business!
